Left-hand drive Figaros

The Figaro was NEVER officially produced as left-hand drive because it was intended for the local Japanese market (JDM).

However, several hobbyists in Japan have converted several to left-hand drive.

Furthermore, after they became popular in Europe, several were converted to left-hand drive in the UK.

We also converted three to Metallic Orange in the early days (2010) using the knowledge and expertise we had at the time. Since then, many changes have taken place in terms of features and technology, and due to the high cost of conversions, these have been limited to a handful.

In 2012, we decided to discontinue them, partly because sales of right-hand drive Figaros proved to be no problem at all. (Our counter now stands at 386 Figaros sold.)

In 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic, when we weren't allowed to do anything or see anyone, we took on the challenge once again and built "The Beast," a left-hand drive Figaro with a 1600cc engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, a sports interior, and a unique appearance.

Now, almost five years later and with even more knowledge, experience, and new technologies, we've built another one.

But now with a completely mirrored dashboard that looks identical to the original.

Our acquired knowledge was very useful and makes us even more exclusive as a company!

We've also built a beautiful left-hand drive Lapis Gray Figaro, ready and waiting with a whole lot of new parts.

Every now and then, a left-hand drive Figaro converted in Japan pops up and is now for sale in the USA for between $25,000 and $45,000. Bringing such a Figaro to Europe is not at all interesting.

Besides the high transport costs (2,000 euros), there's also 10% import duty and 21% VAT to pay, and such a car is registered here for between €33,000 and €60,000!

In the UK you can have a left-hand drive Figaro built at Algys for at least 25,000 pounds, but because of Brexit you also have to pay 10% import duty and 21% VAT on a car from the UK, so it costs almost 40,000 euros before it is registered here in the Netherlands.

Deze kleur vertegenwoordigd het 'Winter'

Er zijn in totaal 8156 stuks in deze kleur de fabriek uitgerold.
